Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu received his certificate of appointment.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, who was appointed as the new rector of Atatürk University, officially began his duties by receiving his mandate from the President of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar. In the ceremony held in the capital Ankara, YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar conveyed his wishes for success to Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu and stated that their support for Atatürk University, which holds a very valuable position in the country’s higher education, will continue to increase.

Rector Hacımüftüoğlu: “I am honored to be a part of this valuable institution”

Speaking at the mandate ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu emphasized the deep-rooted history and strong academic infrastructure of Atatürk University, stating: “I am honored to be a part of this valuable institution. In this process where science, education, and serving the community are prioritized, we will work with all our might to elevate our university further in national and international arenas. I believe that we will achieve significant successes together with our students, academic and administrative staff through innovative projects in the new term.”

Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu, who stated that he would prioritize increasing scientific research, improving education quality, and student-centered activities in his new role, said, “We will provide all necessary support for the development of our students and academics, and we will work together to advance Atatürk University in every field.”

YÖK President Özvar: “I fully believe that Rector Hacımüftüoğlu will take confident steps towards new goals”

In his speech at the ceremony, YÖK President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar noted that Prof. Dr. Hacımüftüoğlu has taken on an important task for Atatürk University and stated: “We believe that with the innovations and projects that Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu will implement in university management, the education quality and international standing of our university will be strengthened further. Just as Erzurum signifies something for our country, Atatürk University carries the same meaning for us. I fully believe that Atatürk University, one of the most established educational institutions in our country, will confidently walk towards new goals with our rector and qualified academic staff. Our university, which has taken on significant responsibilities as a Research University, will achieve the desired goals through the accelerated efforts it will undertake in this new process. With these thoughts, I congratulate our esteemed lecturer Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, who has started his rectorship, and wish him success.”

Will start working on strategic plans

After receiving his mandate, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Hacımüftüoğlu, who will return to Atatürk University to start his duties, will hold his initial meetings with the university’s management team and academic staff, focusing on short-term goals and strategic plans. Emphasizing that they will decisively take all necessary steps for the advancement of Atatürk University, Rector Hacımüftüoğlu stated that he would maintain strong communication and cooperation with students and academics.
