High quality with domestic production

In the Körfez district of Kocaeli, asphalt material is produced in a stone crushing and screening facility established according to world standards, environmentally friendly, and with 100% domestic production.

This 100% domestic stone crushing and screening facility established by the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality produces various sizes of materials for road construction, maintenance, and repair, as well as asphalt production. Operating under the Directorate of Science Affairs, the facility serves in a closed area of 1,400 square meters in compliance with European Union standards.

Equipped with a CE certified dust reduction system, the crushing facility has a production capacity of 400 tons per hour. The gravel produced in this environmentally friendly facility is used in hot asphalt, road construction, and infrastructure works. In the stone crushing and screening facility established with world standards, environmentally friendly practices, and 100% domestic production, 7 different types of aggregate materials are obtained, which are quality-separated using screens for asphalt production and road construction.

The raw stones brought from the high-reserve limestone quarry within the boundaries of the stone crushing and screening complex are crushed here with the latest technology in the crusher. The materials separated into various sizes by the screening system are used in hot asphalt production at the asphalt plant established at the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality’s Izmit Solaklar Asphalt Site. Additionally, the gravel produced at the facility is utilized in the production of surface coating roads known as cold asphalt.

Moreover, PMT material used in the creation of the plant-mix base layer in road construction is produced at an additional facility with a capacity of 500 tons per hour at the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality’s stone crushing and screening facility. The municipality, which stands out with its nature-friendly practices, produces high-quality materials at low costs using modern systems in its environmentally friendly facility. The establishment of a Solar Energy System (SES) is also planned at the facility. When the SES becomes operational, it will provide significant savings in production.
