Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, through the teams of the Information Technology Department, is introducing VR virtual reality glasses to children in rural neighborhoods. The municipality continues to connect children in rural neighborhoods with the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades via the virtual reality headset, and this time, it brought this excitement to the children in Bandırma. The children of Bandırma were very happy to see Atatürk.
The teams of the Information Technology Department of Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality are introducing VR virtual reality glasses to children in rural neighborhoods. Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality continues to first connect children with the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades on the Bandırma Ship and then provide them with the thrill of a Roller Coaster. By traveling to rural neighborhoods throughout the city and allowing children to take a journey with Atatürk and his comrades on the Bandırma Ship, the municipality has now introduced the children in the rural neighborhoods of Çepni and Doğanpınar in Bandırma to the VR virtual reality glasses.
“Contributing to Our Children’s Development”
Çepni Neighborhood Muhtar İsmail Köymen expressed his gratitude to Balıkesir Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Akın for bringing such a service to their village, saying, “The children had a lot of fun. We saw that the children in our neighborhood were very happy. We would like to see more of these events. We consider it important for our children’s development to hold such events. These activities contribute to our children’s development.”
Eylüll Eker, who expressed her happiness to be part of such an event, said, “It was a very fun and beautiful event. When I put on the virtual reality glasses, I first rode a roller coaster and went on a journey. Then I saw Atatürk on the Bandırma Ship. He waved at me. I was very excited. It was a wonderful feeling. I thank our Balıkesir Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Akın. I want such events to come again.”
Elanur Köklü, who said she had a fun time thanks to the virtual reality glasses, shared her experience: “We had a great time with the virtual reality glasses. When I put on the glasses, I first saw a parrot on the train and a shark in the sea. It was very exciting. During the Bandırma Ship journey, I saw Atatürk and I was very happy. I also liked the games. I thank our Mayor Ahmet Akın very much.”
Ali Emir Yener commented on the event, stating, “It was a nice event. I saw the roller coaster and the Bandırma Ship up close. Seeing Atatürk, his belongings, and paintings excited me. When I went to the pier, I witnessed the moments of Atatürk and his comrades speaking. I thank our Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Akın for bringing us this event.”
Zeynel Bartu Biçer expressed that he really enjoyed the journey he took with the VR glasses, saying, “It was a really nice event. For example, in that train game, there was the sea below and a parrot above. I was very happy when I saw Atatürk. I had a great time in that game too. I thank our Mayor Ahmet Akın for providing us this opportunity.”
