A new project that will excite sports enthusiasts from President Büyükkılıç: Sportif Kayseri.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality is preparing to launch the “Sportive Kayseri” mobile application, which is among the new 5-year projects of Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç.

Since taking office in 2019, Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç has exceeded the boundaries of traditional municipal services until 2024 and has touched hearts with many projects by saying ‘people first’. In this new service period, he continues to present projects for the benefit of citizens.

In Kayseri, which has been awarded the title of European Sports City for 2024 by the ACES Europe Association, Mayor Büyükkılıç is preparing to implement the “Sportive Kayseri” mobile application, which is part of his new 5-year projects.

Within this scope, the Sportive Kayseri Mobile Application, developed by the Metropolitan Municipality’s Smart Urbanism and Information Technologies Department, in cooperation with the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports and Sports Inc., brings sports events and amateur football matches in the city to a digital platform.

With its works in Smart Urbanism, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality is among the leading municipalities in Turkey, and, upon the instructions of Mayor Büyükkılıç, it will launch the “Sportive Kayseri” mobile application.

As part of the Sportive Kayseri Project, an efficient meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Secretary General of the Metropolitan Municipality, Hamdi Elcuman, to shape the future of sports and athletes.

During the meeting held in the Council Meeting Hall, the details of the application, which will soon be available to citizens, were discussed.

Sports Culture in Kayseri is Digitalizing

This meticulously prepared application aims to spread the sports culture in Kayseri and reach all sports enthusiasts in the city. By encouraging citizens’ participation in local sports events, this application will strengthen unity and solidarity within the community, offering a city life intertwined with sports.

Thanks to the application, all sports events and amateur football matches in the city will be communicated to a wide audience, increasing interest in sports and expanding the sports culture. Real-time information sharing will provide users with the latest updates on sports events and amateur football matches. Details such as dates, times, and event locations will be at users’ fingertips. With the personal tracking and profiling feature, users will be able to create their own profiles and easily follow events and matches they are interested in.

The application will also include educational content, providing guides on healthy living, nutrition, and fitness for everyone interested in sports, thereby increasing curiosity about sports and fostering a more conscious sports culture.

The digital step taken by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality aims to make sports activities in the city more accessible and trackable, making Kayseri a city synonymous with sports.
