3 million TL investment in the Metropolitan Fire Department

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality has provided a new testing laboratory and technical equipment to the Fire Department to enable firefighters to respond to incidents more safely.

With its professional staff and modern vehicles and equipment, the Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department continues to enhance its capacity by responding quickly and effectively to fire incidents, preventing loss of life and property. By keeping up with technological innovations, the Fire Department has been equipped with a new testing laboratory that significantly increases the speed of response to incidents. With the new technical devices provided to the fire department, the leak-proof quality of the breathing masks used by firefighters during interventions and the quality of the breathing tanks can be tested. With an investment of approximately 3 million TL, the new systems allow personnel to respond to incidents more safely and quickly.

“A laboratory serving the region”

Onur Erdi, the Head of the Fire Department, stated that the new laboratory and devices provided to the fire department serve the region and enable firefighters to intervene in incidents more safely. He said, “We have established a new laboratory for our organization where the equipment used by our firefighters in assisting our citizens is tested. The leak-proof tests of the breathing masks used by our personnel during incident responses are conducted here. Additionally, with the system we have set up here, we also measure the quality of air in the breathing tanks used by firefighters. Thus, we ensure that our firefighters breathe quality air while intervening in fires. We have also provided a new hydrostatic test device to our fire department. We can also test the durability and quality of the breathing tanks. This place has become a laboratory that serves the region. We have also become capable of testing the specialized equipment of other public institutions and organizations here. With the introduction of these new systems, our firefighters will be able to respond to incidents with confidence. We have established this entire system with an investment of approximately 3 million TL for our fire department.
