Yılmaz from the AK Party: “The locations where China will establish factories in Turkey are not yet clear.”

The AK Party’s Vice President responsible for Local Governments and Samsun Deputy Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz stated that China wants to establish one or more automobile factories in Turkey, but it has not yet been decided where the factories will be located.
Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz made a press statement at the AK Party Samsun Provincial Presidency during his visit to his hometown, Samsun for a series of meetings.
Providing information about the Chinese-origin automobile factories intended to be established in Turkey, Yusuf Ziya Yılmaz said, “China’s move or action to invest in Turkey, especially regarding a number of investments in the automotive industry, is a positive thing. China wants to establish one or possibly more automobile factories in Turkey. The issue of land is not that simple. The land issue has not yet been discussed. But China wants to invest in Turkey. China has become one of the most developed countries in the world, located in a distant corner of the world’s geography. It is trying to invest in locations that will allow it to reach world markets more easily, also to reduce its logistics-related costs. It sees Turkey as a very suitable place for this. China has also told us that it is considering investing in Turkey, where such a great potential and a large population can create a demand at the billion level.”

“The largest defense industry ammunition factory in Europe is being built in Sungurlu”
Yılmaz also mentioned that besides the automobile factory, an ammunition factory is being built in Sungurlu, saying, “Not only Turkey’s, but Europe’s largest defense industry ammunition, gunpowder, bullet, cartridge, etc. factory is currently being constructed in Sungurlu. If you get the chance in the coming days, go and visit the ammunition factory being built in Sungurlu. I can say that it is a source of pride for such a huge investment of dizzying size.”

“Samsun Western Ring Road has been included in savings measures”
Expressing that the Samsun Western Ring Road, which has reached the tender stage, has been postponed due to being included in savings measures, Yılmaz stated, “The Western Ring Road was able to solve many property issues with the applications made by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality. The very few remaining expropriation issues were to be solved by the ministry. However, the matter has entered into savings measures. Due to the savings measures, it has been postponed to next year. The Western Ring Road has reached the tender stage, the files have been prepared, there are no issues related to the project, and the applications have largely been completed. We also feel the difficulty related to transportation in the west of the city more acutely during the summer months. We are discussing that issue. The Western Ring Road has moved beyond being a postponable event; it needs to be solved urgently.”
The meeting was also attended by Samsun Metropolitan Mayor Halit Doğan, İlkadım Mayor İhsan Kurnaz, Canik Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı, Tekkeköy Mayor Mustafa Candal, AK Party Samsun Provincial Chairman Mehmet Köse, and party organization members.
