Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç announced that Kayseri Airport will have a customs International Air Cargo Terminal, stating, “Central Anatolia’s International Air Cargo Center will now be Kayseri. May it be beneficial for our city.”
Working hand in hand with local government, public institutions, and organizations, Mayor Büyükkılıç showcases the best examples of the service understanding brought by unity and togetherness, leading the way for the implementation of yet another project he has supported with great effort.
Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç shared the good news that following the realization of the New Terminal Building and Apron Construction Project at Kayseri Airport, the old terminal building will also be converted into an International Air Cargo Terminal.
In his statements regarding the matter, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “Kayseri Airport is gaining an International Air Cargo Terminal. With our intense efforts and the support of the prominent figures of our city, the old airport building, which served as the international arrivals terminal, is being transformed into a Customs International Air Cargo Port.”
Stating, “Central Anatolia’s International Air Cargo Center will now be Kayseri,” Mayor Büyükkılıç emphasized that this project will invigorate the city’s trade and export life, saying, “Air cargo, which is heavily used in the transportation of goods, will bring vitality to our city’s trade and export life and enable the emergence of new commercial products. The International Air Cargo Center of Central Anatolia will now be Kayseri, covering the surrounding provinces within a 200-kilometer radius centered in Kayseri.”
Highlighting the significant advantages of air cargo in the transportation and export of products such as fresh flowers, fruits, fish, jewelry, gold and silver ornaments, machine parts, and technological products, Mayor Büyükkılıç stated, “The State Airports Authority will soon begin allocating land to international transport companies through tender, and customs services will be provided by the General Directorate of Customs Enforcement of the Ministry of Trade. May it be beneficial and auspicious for our city.”
