MASKİ General Manager Talat Postacı visited the district to identify the infrastructure problems of Alaşehir on-site. General Manager Postacı stated that they will prepare projects to create permanent solutions and resilient infrastructures for the Alaşehir district.

The Manisa Water and Sewerage Administration (MASKİ) continues its field inspections to build a problem-free infrastructure in 17 districts. In this context, MASKİ General Manager Talat Postacı and his accompanying delegation visited the Alaşehir district. First, General Manager Postacı met with Alaşehir Mayor Ahmet Öküzcüoğlu, and after a briefing and a short presentation at the municipality, he conducted field inspections. During the field inspection, General Manager Postacı was accompanied by Alaşehir Mayor Ahmet Öküzcüoğlu, MASKİ Deputy General Managers Assoc. Dr. Özgür Avşar, Cem Kuzucu from the Private Secretary’s Office, Çılga Kılıç, Head of the Environmental Protection and Control Department, Gülay Kuşcu, Head of the Subscriber Affairs Department, Recep Günay, Head of Drinking Water Department, Onur Artan, Head of Wastewater Treatment Department, branch managers, and technical staff.

MASKİ General Manager Talat Postacı emphasized the importance of identifying problems on-site through field visits, stating, “Upon the instructions of our Metropolitan Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek, we are scanning all 17 districts. We are inspecting the areas reported to have issues on-site. Based on the data we obtain, we will prepare projects for solving these problems. The most common issue we encountered in our Alaşehir district was the rainwater line problem. We identified the points where flooding occurs. Creating resilient infrastructures is one of our main goals. By achieving this goal, we will carry Manisa into the future with modern infrastructures,” he said.

Listening to the citizens’ requests

During the field inspections, MASKİ General Manager Talat Postacı also listened to the requests and demands of the citizens, providing information about ongoing and planned works. General Manager Postacı stated, “We have the opportunity to visit our neighborhoods, inspect the problems on-site, and create mutually solution-oriented plans in response to our citizens’ requests. As a result of the inspections we conducted in cooperation with our district municipality, we will carry out the necessary works by taking into account the requests of our citizens and take important steps towards solving the problems.”
