In Van, maintenance, repair, painting, cleaning, and equipment renewal works continue in schools before the 2024-2025 academic year.
In Van, necessary works are being carried out in all schools across the province to ensure that students receive education in a healthier, safer, and higher quality environment in the new academic year. The Provincial Director of National Education, Nurettin Aras, who visited the ongoing works in the schools, stated that maintenance and repair processes are continuing to improve the physical conditions of the schools. Aras noted that the maintenance and repair works initiated throughout Van are progressing rapidly, saying, “We are working intensively in the field to prepare our schools for the upcoming academic year. We are closely monitoring these activities. Repair, renovation, and improvement of physical conditions are ongoing in many of our schools. God willing, we will complete our works by next week, and we are making intensive efforts to be ready by September 9.”
“118 kindergartens will be opened on September 9”
Emphasizing that 118 kindergartens completed in Van will start service on September 9, Aras stated, “Last year and the year before, our investments in the construction of 118 kindergartens, as well as many school investments at the middle and high school levels in our province have been completed. Currently, we are offering 118 kindergartens to the people of Van as of September. This is a significant move. Since the Republic was founded, only 40 kindergartens had been built in Van. This year, 118 kindergartens will be opened at the same time. In addition, 4 schools with 32 classrooms, which were started in the last 3 months, will also make a significant contribution to reducing double education in the İpekyolu and Tuşba districts. The construction of our massive 32-classroom schools is currently ongoing. God willing, they will also be in service in the upcoming academic year. Furthermore, the construction of one of the best sports high schools in the region, and even in the country, has reached the final stage. Educational activities will also start there in September. Thus, Van will have a sports high school that fully meets its intended purpose. In addition, our work on our maritime high school is also progressing rapidly. Moreover, we will also open two schools with 24 classrooms for children with special education needs this year. All these physical structures built will largely meet the needs in our province. Beyond just physical infrastructure, works are being carried out to create a cultural and artistic infrastructure as well. The works done in our province over the last two years make us proud. Van is experiencing its golden age in terms of classrooms, sports, swimming pools, children’s libraries, and many more projects that I cannot list. This makes us very happy and delighted.”
