In Cizre, young people are spending their summer vacation at the Youth Center.

In the Cizre district of Şırnak, the youth visiting the Youth Center affiliated with the Youth and Sports Directorate are spending their summer vacation with education and activities.

The Cizre Youth Center, which started serving in 2020 with its new building, allows the young people of the region to spend their free time productively at the Youth Center with the opportunities it provides in both education and sports.

Cizre Youth Center, which is the most active youth center in Turkey with over 15,000 members, offers more than 20 courses including painting, tile art, coding, basketball, volleyball, music, painting, language courses, and preparatory courses for talent exams.

“Youth centers are places where educational, social, and cultural activities take place.”

Cizre Youth Center Youth Leader Mahmut Ekinci stated that Cizre’s youth can evaluate their free time at youth centers, saying, “Our Cizre Youth Center is at the service of our youth with many activities. We are here for our youth with summer activities and summer school courses. We are alongside our youth in the preparatory stage for their talent exams. We have more than 40 students in pencil drawing and BESYO talent preparation exams. We provide swimming training with the ‘No One Should Remain Unfamiliar with Swimming’ project along with summer swimming courses for our youth. In addition, we offer training in branches such as basketball, volleyball, tennis, mind games, robotic coding, painting, language, guitar, bocce, and archery. We have many areas where our youth can evaluate their free time with various sports, artistic, and cultural activities. In our cultural courses, we provide language education in English, Kurdish, and German. We are at the service of all our young people with one youth center in Cizre and our youth office affiliated with the youth center,” he stated.

Ekinci expressed that thousands of youth have received training at the youth center, stating, “In a month’s time, we are serving more than 3,000 of our youth in 20 educational branches. There are over 1,200 registrations just in swimming training, and we are actively continuing our trainings with more than 2,000 students in our other activities. With more than 15,000 members, it is one of the most active youth centers in Turkey. We take pride in being the most active youth center in Turkey with our membership number and our cultural, artistic, and sports activities. We welcome all our youth and their families to our youth center.”
