Beşiktaş President Hasan Arat stated that they are continuing their work with players they do not consider for the squad, saying, “They don’t want to leave, they say, ‘We are getting very good money, let’s stay.'”

Beşiktaş held a press conference at Tüpraş Stadium as part of a sponsorship agreement. Addressing questions about current issues during the press conference, Beşiktaş President Hasan Arat said that the surplus of contracted players is not only a problem for Beşiktaş but for many clubs in Turkey as well. Continuing his remarks by stating that they have too many contracted players, Hasan Arat said, “The conditions are very tough. We are trying to handle this with great sensitivity. Look at the time difference between Amir going to Rize and Ndour coming. We are working with that level of sensitivity. We are in very tough negotiations. The players do not want to leave.
