Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, under the coordination of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, is emphasizing dry landscaping practices in intersections and medians, encouraged by the Presidential General Directive, as part of the Water Efficiency Mobilization campaign.

The teams of the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Department of Parks, Gardens, and Afforestation continue landscaping works to give the city a more aesthetic appearance.

Adding a new service to those that enhance the visual aspect of the city, the Metropolitan Municipality, through the Department of Parks, Gardens, and Afforestation and the Green Areas Project and Implementation Branch Directorate, is continuing the construction of dry landscape filling, leveling, planting-sowing, and irrigation systems in soil areas as part of the 2024 landscaping and infrastructure works.

In the adaptation process to changing climate conditions in recent years, the mobilization for water efficiency, initiated to spread water efficiency practices and increase social awareness, is being conducted under the coordination of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, promoting Xerophytic Landscaping Practices through the Presidential General Directive. In this context, the Metropolitan Municipality is focusing on dry landscaping practices implemented in intersections and medians.

In two large intersections of 4,000 square meters located on the 15 July Boulevard Hacılar Intersection and the Altınoluk Intersection, aesthetic and functional use has been achieved through vegetative and dry landscaping practices by the teams.

While dry and drought-resistant landscaping practices continue in various parts of the city for water conservation, in 2024, 250,000 kilograms of white stones, 60,000 kilograms of black stones, 15,000 meters of grass separator mesh, and 250,000 kilograms of pumice materials were used for dry landscaping.
