The 3rd Provincial Coordination Council Meeting of 2024 was held

The 3rd Provincial Coordination Council Meeting of 2024 was held under the chairmanship of Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin. Governor Şahin stated that there are 583 projects worth 117 billion 211 million TL being worked on across Antalya.

At the 3rd Provincial Coordination Meeting, organized to contribute to the development and growth of Antalya, the tourism capital, the status of investments throughout Antalya, completed projects, and ongoing works were discussed in detail, and ideas were exchanged on the importance of project coordination and inter-institutional cooperation. The meeting, chaired by Governor Şahin, was attended by Mustafa Gürbüz, the Deputy Secretary General of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan, the Rector of Akdeniz University, deputy governors, district governors, mayors of municipalities, directors of public institutions and organizations, and Orhan Kadir Gök, the İzmir Regional Representative of the Turkish Armed Forces Strengthening Foundation.

“We will continue to work for the future of our Antalya”

In his speech at the meeting, Governor Şahin expressed that investments would continue, stating, “We will continue to work together for the future of our Antalya.” He announced that as of the end of June 2024, there are 583 projects under development in Antalya, stating, “Of these projects, 380 are carried out by public and private budget institutions, and 203 are realized by the municipalities. The total cost of these projects is 117 billion 211 million TL, and the budget allocation for 2024 is 19 billion 372 million TL. As of the end of June, 9 billion 529 million TL has been spent, achieving a 49% cash realization.”

Public and Private Budget Institutions

Governor Şahin stated that the total cost of the 380 projects being worked on by public and private budget institutions is 105 billion 483 million TL, adding, “The total budget allocation for 2024 is 12 billion 824 million TL, and as of the end of June, 5 billion 456 million TL has been spent, achieving a 43% cash realization. The cost of the 203 projects carried out by our municipalities is 11 billion 728 million TL. The total budget allocation for 2024 is 6 billion 547 million TL, and as of the end of June, 4 billion 073 million TL has been spent, achieving a 62% cash realization,” he said. Governor Şahin noted that the highest cash realization in investments carried out by public and private budget institutions and municipalities is in the Other Public Services sector, with an expenditure of 3 billion 99 million TL, followed by the Transportation-Communication sector with an expenditure of 2 billion 108 million TL, and the Energy sector with an expenditure of 1 billion 058 million TL.

358 projects are ongoing

Governor Şahin indicated that out of 583 projects, 93 have been completed and put into service, 4 projects have been liquidated, and 73 projects have not yet started. He stated that 55 projects are in the tender phase and 358 projects are still ongoing. During the meeting, participants made presentations and evaluations regarding infrastructure, transportation, health, education, and tourism fields. At the end of the meeting, Governor Şahin emphasized the importance of inter-institutional cooperation and thanked everyone who participated in the meeting.
