Strong support for employment and family economy with ‘ADEM’ in Kocasinan

Kocasinan Mayor Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar visited the Family Support Center (ADEM) initiated by the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services and continued under the coordination of the Kocasinan District Governorship, and presented certificates to the trainees. Congratulating them for their labor-intensive products, Mayor Çolakbayrakdar stated that thanks to the courses offered at ADEM, women both produce goods and contribute to the household economy.

Mayor Çolakbayrakdar, along with Kocasinan District Governor İlhan Abay and Kocasinan District Mufti Halil Uzun, visited ADEM located in Yakut Neighborhood and opened an exhibition of handmade products prepared by the trainees.

While giving certificates to the trainees, Mayor Çolakbayrakdar said, “Our ADEM, which continues under the coordination of the Kocasinan District Governorship, employs our female siblings. With the handmade products produced by our female siblings, they contribute to the household economy. We thank everyone involved and our esteemed governor. Of course, whenever given the opportunity, we witnessed once again what our female siblings can produce. The products resulting from this initiative launched by our Ministry have pleased us. From now on, we will strive to open new ADEM centers in different regions of Kocasinan to increase their number.”

Kocasinan District Governor İlhan Abay expressed his gratitude for Mayor Çolakbayrakdar’s support, stating, “Our ADEM center was established about a year ago and starts with thirty trainees every three months. Our thirty trainees bring their children here. Women in need of social support take care of their children here while receiving training to acquire a profession during the day. After the three-month training, we graduate our female trainees and continue with a new group of thirty. Our trainees both acquire a profession and contribute to the household economy. We are continuing our efforts to increase this number. At this point, I would like to thank our mayor for the support he has given us.”

The trainees, who expressed their happiness in actively participating in social life while improving their handicraft skills and contributing to the household economy, stated, “Thanks to what we learned here, we have created different works with our talents. With the support of our Kocasinan District Governorship and municipality, we contribute to our family budget. Therefore, we thank our esteemed governor and our esteemed mayor very much.”
