The 3rd Ordinary Meeting of the Manisa Provincial Employment and Vocational Training Board for the year 2024 was held under the chairmanship of Governor Enver Ünlü with the participation of board members. During the meeting, it was recorded that 15,828 people were placed in jobs in the public and private sectors during the first six months of the year.

The 3rd Ordinary Meeting of the Manisa Provincial Employment and Vocational Training Board for the year 2024 was held under the chairmanship of Governor Enver Ünlü. In his opening speech at the meeting, which took place in the Governor’s Briefing Hall, Governor Enver Ünlü stated that the meeting encompassed the formation of employment and vocational training policies at the provincial level, measures to protect, develop employment, and prevent unemployment, as well as the determination of active labor programs to be implemented, and monitoring and evaluation of employment activities and vocational training practices.

During the meeting, Manisa Provincial Directorate of Labor and Employment Agency Manager Günseli Tufan provided information to the board members about the agency’s activities for the period January-June 2024, accompanied by a presentation.

According to this, as of the January-June 2024 period, the Manisa Provincial Directorate of Labor and Employment Agency provided individual counseling services to 37,535 people as part of job and career counseling services, conducted 7,742 workplace visits, and placed a total of 15,828 people in jobs in the public and private sectors. Also, during the same period, career and job counselors of the job club organized training for 494 people in 35 groups on resume preparation, interview techniques, and job search channels, visited 121 educational institutions within the scope of vocational counseling activities, and provided training to 9,537 people.

Additionally, it was reported that protocols were signed with 23 companies under the Positive Discrimination for Women Employment (KİPAP) Project, and 57 people benefited from this project.

It was expressed that 51 programs were opened within the scope of the agency’s On-the-Job Training Programs, enabling 152 individuals to gain skills and professional development in these programs, and a support of 9,949,905.90 TL was provided for participant essential expense payments and general health insurance premiums. It was noted that 6,032 people benefited from unemployment benefits.

Following the cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of National Education themed “Incentives Provided to Vocational and Technical High School Graduates and State Contributions for Students,” a cooperation protocol was signed between the Manisa Provincial Directorate of Labor and Employment Agency and the Provincial Directorate of National Education to effectively reflect this protocol in the field.

During the meeting, Manisa Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Uğurelli made a presentation about the processes related to various educational institutions and educational programs, as well as the operations carried out. Information was shared regarding the improvement of the quality of students graduating from vocational and technical high schools and their participation in employment in their fields after graduation within the framework of the relationship between education and employment.

In a presentation made by Cemile Erkara, Deputy Director of the SHONIM Organization on behalf of the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, the board members were informed about ‘Gender Equality’.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of information on related issues and discussion of other agenda items.
