The independent garden house in Erzincan was designed by the Provincial Mufti’s Office to be used for scouting camp activities. The scout house opened under the Erzincan Provincial Mufti’s Office has been transformed into a center where students can receive training in Quran, religious knowledge, Hadith, and values education in addition to scouting activities.
The leader of the scout house and Spiritual Advisor Mehmet Kurtaran provided information about the training conducted at the scout house. Mehmet Kurtaran stated, “This area, donated to the Presidency of Religious Affairs and our Provincial Mufti’s Office by a philanthropist, was opened as a scout house with the approval of our Provincial Mufti Muharrem Gül. We created areas where scouts can shoot arrows and carry out scouting activities. We combined our summer Quran course with scouting, and it has been very fruitful. Students play educational games even during their breaks, moving together as a group and capturing the spirit of unity and solidarity. They have become very good at helping and supporting each other,” he said.
Erzincan Provincial Mufti Muharrem Gül stated, “Our summer courses in Erzincan have started. Our courses are active in all our villages and neighborhoods. Unlike our other courses, here our scouts receive both summer Quran and scouting education. We aim to make this camp more organized and to have all our courses visit this camp, allowing the students of the memorization course to receive education in this natural environment. Overall, we have a total of 11,101 students attending summer Quran courses in the province. Our summer Quran courses in Erzincan are very productive.”
