While the teams of the Marmaris Municipality Zoning Directorate continue their inspections in various areas without interruption, they have carried out 1,896 administrative actions in the last 7 months.

The Marmaris Municipality Zoning Directorate continues its inspections uninterruptedly to ensure order throughout the district and to facilitate citizens’ lives in a healthy, clean, and safe manner. In particular, numerous administrative actions were taken in the first seven months of 2024 against beggars who exploit the spiritual feelings of the public, street vendors who cause unfair competition, and vehicles that endanger pedestrian safety in traffic-restricted areas and on sidewalks.

Between January and July, the Zoning Directorate imposed 620 administrative actions on street vendors under Article 38, Paragraph 1 of the Law on Misdemeanors No. 5326, and 62 administrative actions on beggars under Article 33, Paragraph 1. Additionally, 916 administrative actions were imposed on vehicles traveling or parking in traffic-restricted areas and those parked on sidewalks and bike paths. Furthermore, 15 administrative actions were taken against scooters that caused traffic problems due to irregular parking, and 170 administrative actions were imposed on businesses that did not comply with various rules, including music playing and stopping hours.

During the 7-month period, 895 businesses were inspected. Of these, 90 were found to be unlicensed and referred to the council. The personnel of the Zoning Directorate also worked on complaints received by the municipality. In 7 months, 2,015 calls were received on the zoning complaint line, and 760 requests were evaluated at the public desk. The officials of the Directorate requested citizens to report any negative situations they observe to the Zoning Directorate’s hotline at 153, announcing that inspections would continue.
