Inegol Municipality has opened dead-end streets to traffic and created alternative routes in the transportation network through expropriation and demolition works between Şehit Er Şenol Çakır Street and Ay Street in Mesudiye Neighborhood.

Continuing its efforts to transform idle areas without slowing down, Inegol Municipality expropriated 6 separate properties on Şehit Er Şenol Çakır Street in Mesudiye Neighborhood and carried out demolition. With the expropriation works, dead-end streets have been opened to traffic, allowing for the creation of a new route.

Inegol Mayor Alper Taban inspected the works conducted between Şehit Er Şenol Çakır Street and Ay Street in Mesudiye Neighborhood on-site with his accompanying delegation. Providing information about the works, Mayor Alper Taban stated, “We are reaping the fruits of our short, medium, and long-term planning. In the past period, we had also made expropriations to open such dead-end streets and create parking areas. Now, we have expropriated 6 separate properties located at the intersection of Şehit Er Şenol Çakır Street and Ay Street in Mesudiye Neighborhood. There are still some areas to be expropriated. Afterward, the infrastructure needs will be addressed, and paving works on the roads will be completed. Especially in old residential areas, we are implementing plans to open dead-end streets, clean the surroundings for citizens to be able to build, and meet needs such as parking lots and children’s parks.”

“We work for our citizens”

Stating that the expropriations are made to provide new services to the neighborhood residents, Mayor Alper Taban said, “The process is not easy. Expropriations are carried out with the consent of our citizens. Here, the approximately 700 square meters of separate parts of the parcels numbered 6 in block 1584 were expropriated individually. The expropriations were made in different time periods starting from 2022 according to the parcels. Our work is ongoing regarding the remaining parts. We have opened and made available the completed sections. We see that there is inevitably some disturbance in the households where we have made expropriations, but we expect their understanding. We are serving on behalf of the public. We have not had, nor can we have, any job that involves arbitrariness. We carry out these works so that our citizens can live more comfortably and peacefully in their own areas. I would also like to thank the property owners who approached the expropriation process with understanding. I hope this work will be beneficial for our region.”
