In the June-announced list of Turkey’s 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises Research 2023, 14 companies from Denizli were included. Together with the 9 companies that managed to enter the ISO Second 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises list announced today, a total of 23 companies from Denizli appear on the ISO lists.

The 2023 list of Turkey’s Second 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises includes 9 Denizli companies: Elsan Elektrik, Küçüker Tekstil, Uğurlular Tekstil, CMK Kablo, Erikoğlu Emaye, Sürü Tekstil, Gamateks Tekstil, Ozanteks Tekstil, and Çarkıt Kablo. Thus, a total of 23 companies with production and investments in Denizli are represented on the list.

Out of the companies on the list from Denizli, 10 are cable, copper wire, and enamel coil companies, while there are 6 textile, 4 food, 2 steel, and 1 energy sector companies.

Denizli Exporters Union President Hüseyin Memişoğlu congratulated the companies listed and stated, “We believe that the number of companies on the list will increase in the coming years. The 23 companies on the list contributed to approximately 2.4 billion dollars in exports last year. In other words, these companies accounted for about 60% of our province’s exports. Throughout 2023, our country’s industry was affected by various factors, primarily demand contraction. Exporters and industrialists, who had to cope with various challenges such as rising energy prices due to geopolitical tensions, faced difficulties regarding competitiveness due to increasing input costs. Both high-interest rates putting industrialists in a difficult position for new investments and issues such as continuing loss of momentum in new orders, underutilization of capacities, and slowdowns in production have shaped the main agenda of our companies. Meanwhile, the stable exchange rates and the inflation rates not increasing in parallel negatively affected competitiveness. Despite all these circumstances, Turkey’s exports reached 255.8 billion dollars with an increase of 0.6% in 2023. From Denizli, exports worth 4.2 billion dollars were made in 2023. Last year, we exported over 3,000 product groups to 185 countries across 26 different sectors. We have great confidence in the history, experience, hardworking nature of our people, and the commercial ability of Denizli’s industry. On the other hand, thanks to our sectoral diversity, we can turn crises into opportunities in difficult times. We once again congratulate all our companies that contribute to the economy of Denizli and our country listed, and we wish success to all players in our industry and export, with the hope that we will be represented by more companies in the coming years.”
