158 trainees graduated from the courses offered at the Project Implementation and Training Center under the Culture and Social Affairs Directorate of Akdeniz Municipality, with 54 of them finding employment in various sectors through computer-assisted accounting, web design, graphic design, photography, and AutoCAD & SolidWorks simulation courses.

New term courses will also begin in the first week of August at the Project Implementation and Training Center. The courses, which have attracted intense interest and have received over 150 applications so far, include: ‘Free AI-supported animation training, human resources specialization training, fashion design; computer-assisted accounting, graphic design; web design and computer operation.’

“Thanks to the courses I took, my job application was accepted.”

The trainees shared their feelings and thanked Akdeniz Municipality for providing them with this opportunity. 25-year-old Vahap Şimşek, who completed the AutoCAD course at the center and is now working as a station officer at a private natural gas company, said: “I saw Akdeniz Municipality’s course through social media and applied. At this point, I received training in AutoCAD and trademarks and successfully completed it. I also took courses in computer operation and computer management, which provided effective training in finding a job. Thus, my job application was accepted. I thank Akdeniz Municipality for these trainings.”

“A great opportunity to start everything anew”

Havva İnan Kaplan, who applied for the Computer-Assisted Accounting course on a friend’s recommendation, stated that they received training for 6 months, saying: “In this field, we saw the basics and, starting from the beginning, we applied many programs in practical terms, including notebook arrangement. We learned about accounting programs such as ETA, Mikro, Zirve, and Luca. Of course, we first covered the main subject of accounting along with notebooks and organization. Then we started applying it on the computer. It’s a great opportunity to start everything anew. I definitely recommend not to miss it.”

“I found a job before my course ended”

Kıymet Kamer Erdoğan, who successfully completed the computer-assisted accounting course, also stated that she saw the course through social media and applied: “After that, we went through a very nice process. A great environment was created with my friends. We learned unity and togetherness outside of education, whether it was with my teacher or my friends. We decided together on how to hold on to life and how to do things. We received training for six months. We applied for jobs, and there was an immediate response. Akdeniz Municipality has really provided us with very good things. I strongly recommend all friends considering participating in the courses. I attended job interviews before our course ended, got a job, and I am currently working. I thank our municipality for providing us with this opportunity.”

“Despite having a child, I never missed a class”

34-year-old Merve Çatık, one of the trainees, mentioned that she is married and has a 4-year-old son, sharing her feelings with these words: “I learned that Akdeniz Municipality’s Project Training and Implementation Center offers such courses through social media. I thought it was important to participate in such projects to support women’s employment and empower women. Despite having a child, I continued without skipping the courses, and I am now working in a good place. I thank our mayors and teachers who provided us with this opportunity.”
