In Büyükçekmece, the awarded works from the “International Güler Ertan Photography Competition” were exhibited

The winning photographs of the International Güler Ertan Photography Competition held as part of the International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Arts Festival organized by the Büyükçekmece Municipality were exhibited. Art enthusiasts showed great interest in the exhibition.

The International ‘Güler Ertan’ Photography Competition, organized in collaboration with the Büyükçekmece Municipality, the Turkish Photography Art Federation (TFSF), and the Büyükçekmece Photography Association (BÜFOD), took place in 3 categories: Digital: Open (Color), Digital: Open (Black and White), and Digital: Cultural Heritage (Color or Black and White). The exhibition was inaugurated by Büyükçekmece Mayor Dr. Hasan Akgün, FIAP President Ricardo Busi, TFSF President Sefa Ulukan, BÜFOD President Hürriyet Akın, and Prof. Dr. Güler Ertan, featuring a variety of intriguing photographs.

A total of 2,527 photographers participated in the competition with 9,465 works.

This year, 2,527 photographers from all over the world participated in the competition, which had a total prize pool of 219,000 TL, with 9,465 works submitted.

The jury, consisting of FIAP President Riccardo Bussi, Vice President Joan Burgues Martisella, TFSF President Dr. Sefa Ulukan, Prof. Dr. Bekir Tuğcu, Burak Şenbak, and Honorary Member Prof. Dr. Güler Ertan, evaluated the submissions and determined the winning photographers. The works of the photographers deemed worthy of FIAP and TFSF (Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention) awards in the 3 categories will be exhibited until August 3 as part of the 25th International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Arts Festival. The awards for the winning photographers will be presented at a ceremony to be held during the 25th International Istanbul Büyükçekmece Culture and Arts Festival.
