The President of Religious Affairs, Erbaş, met with religious officials in Sinop

The President of Religious Affairs, Ali Erbaş, stated, “The greatest thing we will need is a lofty ideal, a spirit of dedication, and an unending enthusiasm. In this sense, serving our exalted religion Islam and humanity is our greatest ideal.”

President Erbaş met with religious officials in Sinop. Speaking at the program held at the Sinop Cultural Center Conference Hall, President Erbaş emphasized the importance of summer Quran courses, stating, “Children will never forget what they learn from you at a young age. If you can convey even a few aspects of the beauty of Islam to their little hearts and tiny minds, it will be a means of salvation for you.”

President Erbaş pointed out that the beauties of Islam should be introduced to the youth, children, and families, stating that mosques and Quran courses are open to everyone.

“We must be role models”

Expressing that sincerity, honesty, love, and enthusiasm should be present in religious service, President Erbaş said, “These qualities suit teachers very well. Religion is sincerity, and love is enthusiasm; if there is no love and enthusiasm, we cannot succeed. Let us never lose our love and enthusiasm. We must be role models; young people and children who see us should be inspired by us.”

President Erbaş noted that religious officials are also the teachers of the age and the world in terms of conveying Islam, stating, “The greatest thing we will need is a lofty ideal, a spirit of dedication, and an unending enthusiasm. In this sense, serving our exalted religion Islam and humanity is our greatest ideal. Working with a spirit of dedication in this cause is our greatest fortune, and seeing the fruits of our efforts is our greatest source of excitement. We need to see the fruits of our efforts. Those fruits will further increase our excitement.”

The program was also attended by the Sinop Provincial Mufti, Paşa Bektaş.
