The events of ‘When Coming to Üsküdar’ started with enthusiasm

The events titled “Coming to Üsküdar,” organized by the Üsküdar Municipality, started with great enthusiasm and will take place every Thursday on the Üsküdar coast, bringing citizens together with music, colorful stands, handmade products, and street delicacies.
The events, organized by the Üsküdar Municipality to contribute to the cultural life of Üsküdar and to ensure that the people of Üsküdar have a good time, began with a performance by “Dj Bey.” Colorful stands set up on the Üsküdar coast featured handmade works of women artisans and a stand named “KÜP,” where women showcased quality handmade products. There was also the “ÜSMEK” stand featuring the efforts of participants approved by the Ministry of National Education, and the “Smile Coffee” stand, which was created as part of a social responsibility project where young individuals with Down syndrome work as service staff. Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş also attended the event. After receiving a warm welcome from the citizens, Mayor Dedetaş visited the stands following her speech at the podium. Additionally, it was noted that each Thursday’s event will present different flavors and music for the enjoyment of the people of Üsküdar.

Participating in the event, Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş stated, “We want to welcome you. With light music and our dining areas. We conduct such activities to strengthen women’s labor by increasing sales through our Smile Café and ÜSMEK. We organize these events to enhance our primary gathering points and to experience life together a little more. We are open to expanding the area and changing the content of the event based on your feedback. Please give us feedback. We want to continue these events in increasing numbers. We deal with many issues. However, we will continue to prepare such small surprises so that we can feel alive from time to time, be together, and increase our energy. We will build a beautiful Üsküdar hand in hand, with the culture of being neighbors, so that all the colors and sounds of Üsküdar can exist together.”
