In Burhaniye, where cultures meet nature, the second day of events at the 5th Book Fair continued unabated at five different locations. The events began with a music performance by the Tombaz Ensemble Music Group at Ören Square and were also held at İskele Square, Ören Amphitheater, the book fair area, and Freedom Park.

Among the events, the first guest of the second day at Ören Square was Author Sinan Yağmur. The discussion titled “A Journey of Aşık Veysel” introduced the melodies of Anatolia to the audience accompanied by the bağlama. The program, enriched with Yağmur’s stories, provided the audience with delightful moments.

At Ören Square, Author and Poet Şeyhmus Diken narrated the memories of Ahmet Arif, expressing love and longing with the phrase ‘I wore out shackles from my yearning.’ On the second day of the fair, a documentary screening about Ahmet Arif was moderated by Fair Coordinator Sinan Karahan, followed by a discussion. The conversation, which also included actor and writer Orhan Aydın, provided the audience with enjoyable moments. Diken and Aydın signed books for their fans in the fair area.

The Burhaniye Municipality City Theater (BBKT) presented Muzaffer İzgü’s play titled ‘Border’ to theater lovers at the Ören Amphitheater. The BBKT team, hosting the first theater play in the amphitheater, delivered an unforgettable night to the audience under the direction of Artistic Director Uğur Mamuk and Ender Kurt, consistently captivating attention with their successful cast in every event.

Famous presenter, editor, writer, and investigative journalist Mine Özbek conducted a discussion titled ‘Uncontrolled Migration and Irregular Migrants’ at İskele Square. Özbek spoke about irregular migration, illegal immigrants, and foreign asylum seekers in the country.

The 5th Book Fair featured the film ‘Goodbye Tomorrow’ in its summer cinema screening. Among the guests of the fair, cinema actor, director, and politician Berhan Şimşek and screenwriter-director Reis Çelik watched the film with the audience. While Şimşek played the leading role in the film, Çelik was in the director’s chair. After enjoying the summer cinema, Berhan Şimşek, Reis Çelik, and Orhan Aydın held a discussion with cinema enthusiasts, facilitated by Fair Coordinator Sinan Karahan.

The master artist of Turkish Folk Music, Tolga Çandar, delighted folk music lovers at Ören and İskele squares with his unique music. With his songs carrying the melodies of Anatolia, Tolga Çandar provided the audience with unforgettable moments.

The second day of the Burhaniye 5th Book Fair, filled with culture and art, ended with folk songs.
