Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç reacted to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu being applauded in the U.S. Congress, stating, “Those who applaud the child murderer are the disgrace of humanity. As our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, ‘The world is bigger than five,’ we will continue to advocate for justice in the world.”

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç met with students at the Preference Support program of the Student First Platform, established under the leadership of AK Party Istanbul Deputy Rümeysa Kadak. At the program held at the Dikmen Judge’s House, Tunç shared his memories from his student years. Tunç explained that he reached his goal of attending Law School by retaking the exam while studying to be a geography teacher, listening to the goals of the youth and sharing his knowledge and experiences.

“Justice is being able to hear the voice of the rightful among the loud screams of the unjust.”

Tunç asked the participants to define justice and noted that after receiving their answers, justice is delivering rights to their rightful owners and putting everything in its place. Indicating that they always work for justice and fairness under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Tunç also referred to the events occurring in Palestine. Emphasizing that the world is bigger than five, Minister Tunç stated, “Justice is being able to hear the voice of the rightful among the loud screams of the unjust. The voice of the unjust may be very loud. But the rightful may be silent. If we can make the voice of the rightful heard, then justice has been served. Unfortunately, is there justice in the world today? No. Since October 7, more than 40,000 people have lost their lives in Palestine, in Gaza. Half of this consists of children and women. But unfortunately, does the world raise its voice? Are international organizations effective? In the U.S. Congress, where they say, ‘I am the superpower of the world, I respect human rights,’ and give democracy lessons to everyone, a child murderer is speaking. And while he is speaking, there are those who applaud him without shame. Those who applaud are the disgrace of humanity. Therefore, as our President said, we will continue to advocate for justice in the world, saying ‘The world is bigger than five.’ We will continue to defend justice and human rights everywhere in the world. We will always stand by fairness.”

“The Century of Turkey will rise on your shoulders.”

Wishing success to all students who are about to step into university life, Tunç said, “I wish all our students to get into the universities they desire. May God open your way. I sincerely believe that you will win the best places you dream of. I pray for this. After you pass the university, continue to develop yourself. We trust you. The Century of Turkey will rise on your shoulders.”

Minister Tunç advised the students to read books in different fields and learn foreign languages, answered their questions, and took photographs with them after the program.
