Esenyurt Mayor Prof. Dr. Ahmet Özer hosted students who showed outstanding success by attending the municipality’s LGS preparation course in his office. Congratulating the youth, Özer said, “You have made both us and your families proud. Education is our most important issue as a municipality. We will continue to give the necessary value and importance to education.”

Young people are achieving their dream schools with the support of Esenyurt Municipality. Students who received education in the municipality’s LGS (Transition to High Schools System) Preparation courses demonstrated outstanding success in their exams and gained admission to Turkey’s prestigious Science and Anatolian High Schools. Mayor Prof. Dr. Ahmet Özer met with the young people to celebrate their achievements, stating, “These are our children, our youth. They have won important schools with the education they received from our municipality. We had approximately 800 trainees. Out of these students, 167 were accepted into Science, Anatolian, and Social Sciences High Schools. They have made us proud and brought joy to their families. I congratulate each of them individually.”

“Our most important issue is education”

Emphasizing the importance of children’s education, Mayor Özer continued: “Countries that invest in education and provide quality education are among the most democratic and economically advanced in the world. Those who only receive and use that information are doomed to be governed. We want to be those who do, not just those who receive and use information. For this, we must create the necessary education and philosophical infrastructure. With these feelings and thoughts, I celebrate these young people and kiss their eyes.”

“It’s better to be a good theater teacher than a bad doctor”

Prof. Özer advised young people to choose professions in line with their interests and talents, saying, “It’s better to be a good theater teacher than a bad doctor. Your goals should always be big. We need to set our own goals regarding life and work with determination, courage, and decisiveness to achieve those goals. If these happen, these individuals will make a difference both today and in the future. This difference will also reflect on our Esenyurt, our Istanbul, and our country.”

“Our municipality has helped us a lot”

Tuana Özer, who thanked Mayor Özer for his support, said, “I was very happy that our mayor congratulated us and gave us gifts. The free courses provided by our municipality supported our studies. They were very helpful with practice exams, high school promotions, and guidance. I feel very proud for getting into the school I wanted.”

“My child won a science high school with the education received from the municipality”

Rasime Erdemci stated that her child won a place in a science high school thanks to the Esenyurt Municipality Continuous Education Center, saying, “I had no opportunity to send my child to a private tutoring center. We are very thankful for the support provided to us at the Continuous Education Center. My child received wonderful education, and it was no different from a tutoring center. Thanks to this education, my child got into a science high school. I am very grateful to both our municipality and our teachers.”
