A cooperation protocol regarding the Support of Vocational Education has been signed between the Manisa Provincial Directorate of National Education and the Manisa Employment and Workforce Agency (İŞKUR) Provincial Directorate.

Following the cooperation protocol signed between the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of National Education themed ‘Incentives Provided to Graduates of Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools and State Contributions for Students’, a cooperation protocol was signed between Günseli Tufan, the Provincial Director of İŞKUR Manisa, and Mehmet Uğurelli, the Provincial Director of National Education Manisa, to carry out studies aimed at ensuring the employment of young people who have received vocational training in the fields they graduated from in Manisa.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, İŞKUR Provincial Director Günseli Tufan stated that under this protocol signed between the two institutions, the aim is to ensure the employment of young people who have received vocational education in sectors appropriate to their qualifications in the Manisa industry, thereby increasing employment. Tufan mentioned that if graduates of vocational high schools participate in the on-the-job training program organized in their field of graduation, the daily pocket money paid to participant groups would be increased by 30% (to 850.11 TL). Initially, the implementation has started in 537 professions in fields such as Electrical-Electronic Technology, Machine and Design Technology, Metal Technology, Furniture and Interior Design, Motor Vehicles Technology, Installation Technology and Air Conditioning, and Shipbuilding, and that the applications in other vocational areas will commence after the completion of these studies. She wished that the signed protocol would contribute to employment and be beneficial for our province.

Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Uğurelli, speaking at the signing ceremony, said, “To achieve our goals of a Great Country, Strong Turkey, we are working to equip our dear children with knowledge, skills, and experience that will be beneficial to our country, and to ensure that every student we graduate has a profession. We value vocational and technical education and emphasize its importance. The cooperation protocol themed ‘Incentives Provided to Graduates of Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools and State Contributions for Students’ covers seven areas that add value to vocational education, including Electrical-Electronic Technology, Machine and Design Technology, Metal Technology, Motor Vehicles Technology, Furniture and Interior Design, Shipbuilding, Installation Technology, and Air Conditioning. It is our priority to ensure that our graduated students are employed in the fields they have studied.”

Uğurelli stated that with this protocol signed today, they have taken another step towards supporting the participation of vocational and technical secondary education graduates in working life and raising vocational and technical education to higher standards, ensuring that our children, who are the guarantee of our future, are employed in the sector related to the vocational education they received, making it easier for our graduates to find jobs and increasing their workplace adaptability. Uğurelli added, “I hope that this cooperation protocol, which is one of the studies that will elevate the quality and content of education in our province within the framework of the policies determined by our Ministry of National Education and our Ministry of Labor and Social Security, will be beneficial for our province and our students.”
