Ceyhan Mayor Kadir Aydar brought the film ‘Atatürk’, which broke viewing records by closing cinema halls, to the people of Ceyhan.
Ceyhan Mayor Kadir Aydar introduced the film Atatürk, which has been breaking viewing records since its release, to the people of Ceyhan. This special screening, part of cultural events, was held in a cinema hall at a shopping center in the city. Mayor Aydar closed the cinema hall and watched the film together with his fellow citizens.
Speaking at the event, Mayor Kadir Aydar said, “We organized this event thinking that many of our fellow citizens might have missed the Atatürk film released during the election period, with the idea that no one should miss this important film. Today, we all set aside our political views and came together under Atatürk’s umbrella. Atatürk is a common value and heritage for all of us. Watching his life and struggle together reminds us once again of the importance of our unity and togetherness.”
“Preserving Atatürk’s principles is our most important duty”
Emphasizing that Atatürk was a very great leader, Mayor Kadir Aydar continued his speech:
“It is one of our most important duties to preserve the values and principles of the Republic established by Atatürk and to pass them on to future generations. While watching this film, we understood once again how great a leader our Commander-in-Chief Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was. Thanks to his vision and courage, we can be here together freely today. For this reason, we will continue to organize such events to commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and to keep his legacy alive.”
After the screening, Mayor Aydar met with the audience and listened to their thoughts. Citizens thanked Mayor Aydar for this meaningful event and emphasized the importance of Ceyhan Municipality’s commitment to cultural activities.
The event organized by Ceyhan Mayor Kadir Aydar was attended by CHP Adana Provincial President Anıl Tanburoğlu, CHP Ceyhan District President Caner Aydar, Seyhan Mayor Oya Tekin, CHP 25th and 26th Term Adana Deputy Elif Doğan Türkmen, former Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Hüseyin Sözlü, Ceyhan City Council President İsmail Övet, Ceyhan Muhtarlar Association President Eren Ulaş, along with neighborhood muhtars, provincial and district municipal council members, representatives from civil society organizations and professional chambers, as well as over a thousand citizens.
