A contract was signed between the Denizli Chamber of Commerce and the Aegean Development Agency (GEKA), which operates under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology’s General Directorate of Development Agencies, for the “Sustainable Maturity Analysis” project that GEKA will support and which will be conducted by the Denizli Chamber of Commerce.
The contract for the project named “Sustainable Maturity Analysis”, submitted by the Denizli Chamber of Commerce to GEKA, was signed by Selim Kasapoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DSO, and Özgür Akdoğan, Secretary General of GEKA. The “Sustainable Maturity Analysis” project aims to increase the technical capacity of industrial organizations in Denizli, while also establishing the foundation for sustainability efforts within the Denizli Chamber of Commerce and measuring the sustainability perception of manufacturing firms.
Speaking at the signing ceremony held at GEKA, Selim Kasapoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DSO, stated, “The Denizli Chamber of Commerce has made sustainability its focus. We are working to build our future today with firm steps under the motto of Sustainable Production, Sustainable Industry. We believe that our project will be one of the cornerstones on this path. With our project, a sustainability detection method applicable to all our members will be developed, and planning and activities compatible with the strategic goals stated in the DSO strategic plan will be carried out. Additionally, the sustainability status of our members will be determined through the maturity analysis study.”
Özgür Akdoğan, Secretary General of GEKA, expressed that they took an important step towards the sustainable future of Denizli industry together with DSO: “With the project, we will determine the maturity level of firms in Denizli within the framework of sustainability. By improving our firms’ perception of sustainability, we will enable them to become more competitive. In the initial phases of the project, firms in identified sectors will be determined, preliminary information training will be conducted, and sustainability-based question sets will be created. These question sets will be used to identify firms’ current situations and areas for development. The data collected within the scope of the project will be used to determine firms’ current sustainability maturity levels and to prepare reports accordingly. The prepared reports will help firms create their development plans and will be shared with the public by the Denizli Chamber of Commerce. Our project will bring successful results and will make significant contributions to the sustainability of Denizli industry.”
