DTSO President Bıyık: “Yığılca should be the stronghold of Düzce in nature tourism.”

DÜZCE (IHA) – The President of the Duzce Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DTSO), Erdoğan Bıyık, stated that the Yığılca district should be the fortress of Duzce in nature tourism, saying, “These beautiful areas should be integrated into the country’s tourism and produce added value.”

DTSO Board Chairman Erdoğan Bıyık, along with Chamber Tourism Commission Members Council Members Hasan Arslan, Nazmi Uçar, and Ümit Yıldırım, visited tourism spots in Yığılca upon the invitation of Yığılca Mayor Selami Savaş. In this context, inspections were carried out at Hasanlar Dam, Saklıkent Waterfall, Sarıkaya Cave, and Harmantepe Social Facilities.

DTSO Board Chairman Erdoğan Bıyık stated that Yığılca has a serious tourism potential that has not yet been discovered, and they will work together to integrate these areas into the country’s tourism and economy through public-private cooperation.

Bıyık said, “Sarıkaya Cave is one of the most important caves in Turkey. Hasanlar Dam is a significant asset in terms of water sports and daily tourism. Saklıkent Waterfall is a magnificent area that will amaze nature tourism enthusiasts. The Harmantepe Social Facilities, established by our Yığılca Mayor Selami Savaş, is also a wonderful area that can bring vitality to the region. With the support of our politicians, especially our Governor Selçuk Aslan and Duzce Mayor Dr. Faruk Özlü, Yığılca should be the fortress of Duzce in nature tourism. These beautiful areas must be integrated into the national tourism in a controlled and conscious manner, generating added value. As the Duzce Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we will fulfill our responsibilities. We will strive to ensure that Duzce takes its rightful share of the large tourism pie by evaluating our advantages, such as the momentum achieved recently across the province and the use of a common tourism language.”
