Another success from Fırat University

According to URAP, which ranks world universities by academic fields, Fırat University ranked among the top thousand universities in 7 areas.
URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance), one of the 8 institutions ranking world universities by academic fields, included Fırat University in the world rankings in 11 areas in the 2023-2024 field-based global ranking, placing it among the top 10 universities with the highest number of fields ranked among state universities. The university, which is increasing its international success every day, made progress in the fields of physics, mathematics, computer and information sciences, engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical-electronic engineering, chemical engineering, biology, health sciences, and chemistry compared to last year. Fırat University ranked 1st in physics, 2nd in mathematics in Turkey, and is among the top 5 universities in Turkey in the fields of engineering, computer and information sciences, and mechanical engineering. The university also succeeded in entering the top 10 in Turkey in the fields of electrical-electronic engineering, chemical engineering, and technology. Fırat University, ranked 1st in physics in Turkey, is 575th in the world, while it is 2nd in mathematics in Turkey and 293rd globally. In the field of computer and information sciences, Fırat University is 3rd in Turkey and 605th in the world; in engineering, it is 4th in Turkey and 583rd in the world; in mechanical engineering, it is 5th in Turkey and 622nd in the world; in electrical-electronic engineering, it is 6th in Turkey and 774th in the world; in chemical engineering, it is 8th in Turkey and 933rd in the world; in technology, it is 9th in Turkey and 1026th in the world; in biological sciences, it is 23rd in Turkey and 1450th in the world; in medical and health sciences, it is 30th in Turkey and 1181st in the world; and in chemical sciences, it is 30th in Turkey and 1458th in the world.
Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Göktaş, the Rector of Fırat University, stated that there has been progress in the URAP field-based success ranking compared to last year and thanked the academic and administrative staff as well as the students who contributed. Rector Prof. Dr. Göktaş expressed that their goal is to be among the top 500 in at least 5 fields, and stated that the support for infrastructure and human resources in these fields will continue to increase.
