In the Payallar neighborhood of Alanya district in Antalya, two managers of a hotel that has continued to operate illegally despite being sealed multiple times were taken into custody and appeared before a judge. The business owners were given judicial control conditions and a 30-day ban from operating, while the hotel was sealed for the 72nd time.
Since January 9, 2020, a hotel operating without a license in Payallar neighborhood, which has been sealed 71 times by Alanya Municipality, was once again subjected to action for continuing its activities. Hotel operators A.Ş.K. and R.A. were referred to the courthouse by gendarmerie teams after health checks carried out at Alanya Education and Research Hospital by the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. The two operators of the hotel, which continued to operate illegally despite being sealed many times before, were released under judicial control, and a decision was made to ban them from operating for 30 days. Alanya Municipality’s enforcement teams, in coordination with security forces, sealed the hotel for the 72nd time.
President Özçelik: “There is absolutely no compromise on illegality”
Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik stated that they are working intensively to combat illegal operations throughout Alanya, saying, “A hotel business that has been sealed many times in Payallar neighborhood has been sealed for the 72nd time. The owners of the business who broke the seal were also brought to court to account before justice. Since we came to office with the approval of our people, we continue our fight against illegal operations. Based on the determinations we have made and the complaints we have received throughout the city, we do not allow illegal or unlicensed structures. We will never compromise on illegality.”
