Dumanlı Plateau, which attracts attention with its natural beauty in the Refahiye district of Erzincan, is among the favorite places for those who want to escape the city and spend time in nature during hot weather.
In 2017, Dumanlı Plateau was declared the 219th nature park in Turkey, and with its 8,964 hectares, it is one of the rare Yellow Pine Forests in the country. In addition to the social facilities, walking paths, and picnic areas created in the plateau, visitors can also camp in nature by bringing their caravans or tents.
In the Refahiye Dumanlı Forests Nature Park, an entrance control point, along with a ticket booth and a security building, has been established. The area includes an administrative building, a conference hall, and within the sanitary facilities building, a tent camping area, toilets, shower areas, a laundry unit, and a kitchen have been constructed. Additionally, the nature park features a two-story restaurant, where barbecue units, dishwashing units, and watering units are available for people to have picnics. There is also a kiosk within the park for guests’ immediate needs, and to facilitate worship, there is a mosque with a capacity of 200 people, along with a fountain. Along the 10-kilometer walking path made of cube stones, there are rain shelters where people can take refuge during rainy weather.
In Dumanlı Nature Park, which also includes an administration and guesthouse, 15 bungalow houses have been built, each consisting of two floors, with an area of 80 square meters, allowing a family to stay comfortably in nature.
Dumanlı Nature Park is open to summer and winter tourism with its natural beauty, clean air, abundant cold water sources, and camping opportunities.
