Interest in hamburgers, which is one of the leading fast food flavors, is increasing every day. Hamburgers also hold an important place in the world of gastronomy. Many kebab shops operating in Adana have added hamburgers made from minced meat ground with a sword to their menus.

‘Adana Burgers’ are selling out
The ‘Adana Burgers’, made with minced meat ground with a sword and used in Adana kebab, have started to sell out. Speaking to İhlas News Agency, kebab shop owner Cihangir Korkmaz said they added hamburgers to their menu upon demand. Korkmaz stated, “Kebab is our indispensable dish, but due to time constraints, people were also asking for hamburgers. When people didn’t want to eat hamburgers at fast food chains, we added hamburgers to our menu based on the requests we received. All our guests have started eating hamburgers. We adapted kebab meat for the hamburger.”

“There is demand as much as for kebab”
Korkmaz explained that the hamburger meat is prepared by passing it through a sword, saying, “We prepare the minced meat, which is the regular Adana kebab minced meat, for the hamburger. We pass lamb meat through the sword and only add salt. We use 150 grams of meat. We sell the hamburger for 270 lira. There is demand just like for kebab.”

“I’m literally eating Adana kebab”
A citizen named Sinan Yıldırım, who came to eat a hamburger, described the hamburger as very tasty, saying, “The hamburger has the exact taste of Adana kebab. I’m literally eating Adana kebab. It’s very well made.”
