Kepez Municipality Handball Team’s 1st League trial in TRNC
The Kepez Municipality Sports Club Girls’ Handball Team, aiming for the Super League, had a trial match in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC) against older teams. Kepez will play in the 1st League for the first time, which is the last obstacle in their pursuit of the Super League.

The Kepez Municipality Sports Club Girls’ Handball Team, which will play in the 1st League for the first time as the last obstacle in their Super League goals, played 4 friendly matches against older teams in the TRNC. The Kepez team, which became the champion of the 2nd League last season and will participate in the 1st League in the new season, went to the matches as guests of the Dikmen Municipality in Girne to play friendly matches and establish bonds of friendship.
4 Matches with Their Older Sisters
During the camp organized for the development of the players of the Dikmen Youth and Sports Club, one match was played against DİGEM U18 and one match against the International Cyprus University Sports Club U18, as well as two matches against the TRNC National Team. Although the Kepez representative plays in the U15 category, they managed to win the first match against the national team, which included players up to the age of 27, and lost the closely contested second match.
They Built Friendships
The TRNC Women’s Handball Team, which is set to participate in a special tournament in Kosovo, had their last preparation match against the Kepez team. Coach Sertan Sarpaş, who has been selecting and training players since Nadire Konuk and Ali Oğuz Konuk Middle School, was invited again after the last match to give a seminar and share his experiences. Sarpaş stated that the Cypriots appreciated the success of the younger team and expressed their desire to strengthen the bonds of friendship.
