Students participating in free courses for the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) at Kayseri Vocational Training and Culture Inc. (KAYMEK), which carries out vocational training and cultural arts activities within the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, achieved great success. Among the KAYMEK Youth Center students preparing for the YKS, 4 ranked in the top 1,000 in Turkey, 36 in the top 50,000, and dozens of students entered the top 100,000.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, KAYMEK Youth Centers, serving in 10 different facilities, provided various services to young people ranging from education to sports, and from cultural activities to artistic and social events. While academic courses, social, cultural, artistic, and sports activities contributed to the mental, social, and physical development of young people, the aim was to raise productive youth who are open to technological developments and follow scientific advancements through the provided opportunities. The KAYMEK Youth Centers, which are a significant indicator of the support given to education by Kayseri Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, known as a youth-friendly mayor, offer Academic Course Supplements from 4th grade to 11th grade and LGS Preparation courses for 8th graders, as well as YKS preparation courses for 12th-grade students and graduates at the Special Youth Center. Throughout the year, lessons included in the ÖSYM examination curriculum were taught to exam preparation students at KAYMEK courses, while study sessions and problem-solving practices reinforced students’ knowledge. Sample exams were conducted at regular intervals, and programs were prepared according to the results of these exams by guidance counselors, providing proper direction for the students. In line with the needs of the youth, seminars and group guidance activities were organized, incorporating psychological counseling and guidance services, which serve as complementary educational and developmental support for students. The Youth Centers prepared young people for life by contributing to their mental, social, and physical development through cultural, artistic, and social events such as seminars, trips, tournaments, and social awareness projects, alongside their academic development.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, a total of 920 students were prepared for the YKS at KAYMEK Youth Centers, with 4 of these students ranking in the top 1,000 in Turkey, 36 in the top 50,000, and dozens entering the top 100,000.
