The 32nd International Akçaabat Music and Folk Dance Festival, organized by the Akçaabat Municipality, has begun in Trabzon. Öykü Gürman, who sings Black Sea songs with her unique voice and interpretation, provided an unforgettable night for the people of Akçaabat.

The festival opening was attended by Akçaabat Mayor Osman Nuri Ekim, Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Gürkan Üçüncü, District Police Chief Murat Soysay, department heads of public institutions and organizations, representatives of political parties, heads of non-governmental organizations, municipal council members, and guests.

Following the wreath-laying ceremony, a parade was organized as part of the festival. The parade featured colorful scenes and started in front of Abdullah Fazıl Ağanoğlu Primary School, proceeding along İnönü Street, past the Government House, and continuing to Atatürk Boulevard, finally ending at Atatürk Park.

The festival night was vibrant.

On the first evening of the festival, folk dance teams from Russia, Orhangazi Municipality, Kütahya Municipality, and Akçaabat Municipality took the stage. After the performances, Akçaabat Mayor Osman Nuri Ekim delivered the opening speech of the 32nd International Akçaabat Music and Folk Dance Festival. In his speech, Mayor Ekim said, “Dear guests who have come here from all over the world and our country to share our enthusiasm, esteemed representatives of the press, beloved people of Akçaabat, I greet you with my warmest feelings. Today, at the opening of the 32nd International Akçaabat Music and Folk Dance Festival, I am excited and happy to be together with you in our seaside park, which we present to your service with its renewed face. Our Akçaabat, which cannot get enough of its greenery, blueness, plateaus, and sea, transforms into a completely different atmosphere with festival excitement this July, just like every year.”

After the speeches, the soloists of the Akçaabat Municipality Turkish Folk Music Choir, Semih Piyaleoğlu and Öykü Gürman, took the stage. Öykü Gürman, who sang Black Sea songs with her unique voice and interpretation, provided an unforgettable night for the people of Akçaabat. With her wide repertoire and magnificent interpretation, Gürman won the admiration of the people of Akçaabat, both exciting and entertaining them.
