Uşak University Preference Days are starting.

Uşak University will hold “Uşak University Preference Days” for candidates who have succeeded in the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) from July 19 to July 25, 2024, at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Congress and Culture Center Foyer area of Uşak University, Bir Eylul Campus.

As part of the “Uşak University Preference Days,” information will be provided about associate and undergraduate programs, education, scholarships, domestic/international student exchange programs, accommodation, social facilities, and the campus. Candidate students will have the opportunity to visit the departments they wish to choose and gain information about them. Candidates can obtain detailed information about the departments they are considering from the promotion stands of Uşak University while also visiting the Uşak University campus to experience campus life.

Uşak University Rector Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş stated that during the preference days held from July 19 to July 25, 2024, information will be provided to candidate students in the foyer area of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Congress and Culture Center between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş said that Uşak University is waiting for its new students with its 14 faculties, 1 school of applied sciences, 10 vocational schools, and 1 graduate education institute, stating, “Uşak University is a role model university that has many national and international accreditations, integrated with the city and industry, and focuses on qualified growth for both students and regional development. Each year, with an increasing momentum of success in international rankings (THE, QS, SCIMAGO, URAP, UI Green Metric), it is one of the prominent universities in its region with its young and dynamic management structure. Our university, which signs protocols within the framework of University-Industry cooperation, ensures that our students carry out their vocational courses related to their fields practically in enterprises located in Uşak Organized Industrial Zones. Additionally, internship opportunities are provided in these enterprises to enhance the necessary experiences of our students related to their fields. Through the Vocational Education (IME) Program in enterprises, a 7+1 system has been established, consisting of 7 semesters of courses + 1 semester of practical training, allowing our students to gain relevant experience in their fields, while the 3+1 system ensures that students studying in our vocational schools are prepared for their working fields. With the IME program, our students who study in enterprises in their final semesters are hired by companies. Furthermore, with our expanded international networks, our students benefit from the opportunities of Erasmus and Mevlana exchange programs with international higher education institutions.”

Prof. Dr. Savaş, stating that our university provides many social opportunities alongside a successful academic life, conveyed the following information about the campus: “We have a campus full of education, sports, and social events, featuring a modern and functional Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Library, a semi-Olympic swimming pool, and a FIBA-approved 2000-capacity basketball court in the Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Sports Complex, as well as the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Congress and Culture Center with a capacity of 1100, where dozens of events are held every month. Additionally, the sports complex with a synthetic turf football field that can accommodate 15,000 spectators is also at the service of our students.”

Emphasizing that they provide “International Quality Assurance” to all their students with programs created and updated in harmony with international universities and the opinions of internal and external stakeholders, Prof. Dr. Ekrem Savaş added that Uşak University stands out with its barrier-free structure.
