Under the leadership of the Denizli Chamber of Commerce (DTO), the Employment Fair and Career Days were held, where member companies of DTO interviewed individuals who came to apply for job openings. Over two days, discussions at 55 booths reached approximately 20,000 citizens.

The Employment Fair and Career Days, organized in the last month of the project “Inclusion of NEETs in the Workforce through Management Information Systems (MIS)” supported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Republic of Turkey, was a significant interest in Denizli, part of the European Union (EU) NEET PRO program for Youth Not in Education, Employment, or Training. Starting with a seminar on the impact of MIS expertise on productivity, on the last day of events, 54 different companies from various sectors that are members of DTO interviewed applicants for job openings. Representatives from the companies and experts did not turn away any job-seeking citizens.

Prof. Dr. Haşıloğlu’s seminar on the impact of MIS expertise on productivity
The seminar on the impact of Management Information Systems (MIS) expertise on productivity was delivered by Prof. Dr. Selçuk Burak Haşıloğlu, an expert in the field. Prof. Dr. Haşıloğlu detailed the positive effects of MIS expertise on organizations and how knowledge in this area contributes to career development. Participants, who listened to the speaker with great attention throughout the event, had the opportunity to better understand the importance of MIS in the modern business world.

The seminar was followed by numerous experts from the business world and job candidates. They stated that they believe the event provided significant contributions to employment in the city, serving as a productive information-sharing environment for both professionals and those looking to shape their careers; they thanked the project owner, the Denizli Chamber of Commerce, DTO Board Chairman Uğur Erdoğan, and the project team for the opportunities provided to sectors and citizens.

With DTO’s EU-supported project, everyone who wants to be part of the business world is encouraged to participate in events to enhance their knowledge and experiences. Those wishing to receive information about upcoming events and new projects can find announcements on the Denizli Chamber of Commerce’s social media accounts and its official website.

Bridging employers and job seekers
DTO Board Chairman Uğur Erdoğan noted that the events held throughout the day at the DTO service building established a solid bridge between the Denizli business world and job seekers. “Employers and job seekers had the chance to come together at the tent we set up in front of our Chamber of Commerce, evaluating career opportunities and developments in the labor market. They had the opportunity for face-to-face interviews at our tent. This environment, which we offered to our public and members for the first time, was an important platform for observing the dynamics of the job market and assessing employment opportunities. We connected 500 citizens, including 50 young people who are NEET, at least 25 of whom are women, aged 20-29 with our 100 innovative manufacturing, exporting, and e-commerce member companies, SMEs attending our seminars, NEETs, NGOs, and public institutions. With our project, which is part of the EU’s NEET PRO program supported by our Ministry of Labor and Social Security, we prepared our young people who have completed or are continuing higher education and seeking jobs to become qualified sought-after employees through our free theoretical and practical courses and trainings. Again, there was significant interest in the Employment Fair and Career Days we organized within the scope of this project; we thank you. We also visited the companies that opened booths at our fair and obtained information from their representatives. Meanwhile, we spoke with our citizens who participated in our event, wished them success, and listened to them. I also feel it’s my duty to thank the press members who did not leave us alone in this event with their great interest. According to the information I received from representatives of our 54 firms and our team, they met with approximately 11,000 citizens on the first day; on the second day, they met with about 9,000 citizens. Throughout the two days, they accepted applications for about 1,250 open job positions and answered questions related to their institutions and fields. They informed us that they reached approximately 20,000 citizens; this pleased us. I would like to thank everyone, especially our DTO EU Turkey Business Development Center (Denizli ABİGEM) project team, our project partner Denizli Organized Industrial Zone Directorate, and the Labor and public institutions and organizations for their contributions and efforts, for the success of our event, which we believe made significant contributions to employment in our city.”
