Preparations are ongoing for the “Erzincan Promotion Days” program.

A meeting was held within the scope of the “Erzincan Promotion Days” program planned to take place between August 24-31.

At the meeting chaired by Erzincan Governor Hamza Aydoğdu, the activities planned to be carried out within the scope of the “Erzincan Promotion Days” program were discussed.

It was stated that, unlike previous years, the Erzincan Promotion Days program would not be held in major cities like Istanbul and Ankara, but in Erzincan.

In his speech at the meeting, Governor Aydoğdu said, “In order to make Erzincan attractive, we could actually hold a week-long festival here in Erzincan as we have eight districts. If we introduce one of our districts each day and invite our fellow citizens from Istanbul, Izmir, Kocaeli, Bursa, and Ankara to this place. A suggestion came up to organize concerts and events for everyone in such a festive atmosphere. And all our friends have done a nice job related to this. Yes, we have organized this meeting primarily to present this work to you and to get your opinions if you have any.”

During the meeting, Erzincan Deputy Governor Yusuf İzci conveyed the events to be held in the mentioned program. İzci stated, “The promotion days will last for 8 days from August 24-31 and will be filled with events taking place in different venues such as Dörtyol Square, in front of the Municipality, the Clock Tower area, and behind the old Municipality Building in Erzincan’s city center. Each day will be dedicated to the promotion of one of Erzincan’s 8 districts; the districts will introduce themselves by organizing gastronomy, cultural, and artistic events at their stands. The events planned by the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism will be organized according to the schedule determined by the participation of artists who will perform within the scope of the Culture Road Festival to be held in Erzurum. Local artists will also be included in the program.”

During the 8-day events planned, the Brotherhood Choir formed within the Provincial Directorate will give concerts with the participation of people from different professional groups. The “Minstrels Competition” program, plays staged by the State Theaters, open-air cinema events, and handicraft exhibitions will be organized.

The Erzincan Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports will organize sports activities such as basketball, off-road, motocross, rafting, paragliding, and nature walks for different age groups.
