Mecnun Otyakmaz, who will serve as the first vice president of the Turkish Football Federation, said goodbye to the players and coaching staff who are in camp in Erzurum.
In a meeting conducted via Video Conference System, Head Coach Bülent Uygun wished Otyakmaz success in his new role, stating, “Just as you have shown love and respect to all teams at Sivasspor, we have no doubt that you will do the same at the federation, supporting all teams and demonstrating how to be a manager in Turkish football. Our player brothers are sending you their love and respect. We love you. Thank you for all the beauty you have shown us.”
TFF first vice president Mecnun Otyakmaz remarked that a rapid process has developed, stating, “I didn’t have the opportunity to talk with you. I thought that Turkish football needs us. Last season was a very bad season for Turkish football. The management needed to change. We want to instill justice, transparency, and love among each other again in Turkish football and serve Turkish football. We have experienced great happiness together. We have pursued great goals and won trophies. From now on, you will always be in my heart. I will serve Turkish football here, and I thank you for everything you have shared with us in the past. I will definitely attend your first match, God willing.”
Vice President Faruk Taşseten expressed that they came together to wish Otyakmaz success, stating that they will always be by his side.
Team captain Ziya Erdal congratulated Otyakmaz on behalf of the entire team, saying, “May God not let us down. Our hearts are always with you.”
