The rainwater problem in Sirinyali is being resolved.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality ASAT General Directorate initiated a rainwater drainage work on Ismet Goksen Street in Sirinyali Neighborhood. Continuing its efforts with the goal of a planned, regulated, and identifiable city, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality started a rainwater drainage work on Ismet Goksen Street in Sirinyali Neighborhood, which faces problems during heavy rains in Muratpasa district. Within the scope of the work carried out by ASAT General Directorate, a rainwater drainage line of approximately 300 meters long will be constructed on the street and on 1486th Street. 800 and 1000 mm diameter pipes will be used in the works. Once the construction is completed, the accumulated rainwater on the street will be quickly drained into the drainage line and then discharged into the sea. The investment cost of the work, totaling around 5.5 million TL, is planned to be completed in a short period. The works are continuing at full speed. ASAT Sewerage Maintenance, Repair, and Operation Branch Manager Ismail Sercan Senel stated that the works in areas with existing or potential drainage problems in Antalya are ongoing at full speed. Senel said, ‘Our rainwater drainage works in the city will continue throughout the summer. Today, we are on Ismet Goksen Street. Here, we are conducting our works in an area of about 300 meters. Thus, the rainwater problem on Ismet Goksen Street and 1486th Street will be resolved.’ Metropolitan authorities reminded that due to the rainwater drainage work to be carried out by ASAT General Directorate, the direction of travel from Metin Kasapoglu Street to Ismet Goksen Street will be closed to traffic, and asked the citizens to use Lara Street and 1548th Street as alternative routes during the work period to avoid traffic problems.
