President Kıvanç: ‘The Adana Main Container Port that we have dreamed of will provide great contribution to our region’

Adana Chamber of Industry President Zeki Kıvanç expressed great satisfaction with the allocation of Adana Main Container Port, stating that ‘Adana Main Container Port will make a significant contribution to our region.’ Adana Chamber of Industry President Zeki Kıvanç made statements regarding the allocation of Adana Main Container Port. President Kıvanç stated that the project is one of the most important investments that will change the face of the region. ‘It is a great gain for our region and our country.’ Kıvanç, who welcomed the allocation of Adana Main Container Port with joy, said, ‘The allocation of Adana Main Container Port, which we have been dreaming of for a long time and fighting for its construction, is a great gain for our region and our country. With Adana Main Container Port, connecting the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean via Iraq and Turkey, as well as enabling the transportation of goods from the east-west and south-north corridors by rail and road to the Mediterranean through Turkey will be possible. Adana Main Container Port will be a strategic actor that maximizes the commercial potential of Adana and our region. We thank our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, relevant ministers, our governor, members of parliament, mayors, and bureaucrats for bringing this great project to Adana and our region.’ ‘Adana will become a new economic powerhouse in the Turkish century.’ President Kıvanç stated that the allocation of Adana Main Container Port will increase the commercial potential of the region and the country, moving Adana to a strategic point in international trade and logistics. ‘This project will greatly contribute to the development of industry and trade in Adana and its surroundings, creating new job opportunities. The Ceyhan and Yumurtalık regions will change the economic dynamics of our country and Adana, promising regions for the future. The importance of these regions is increasing every day. There are many significant investments in these regions, such as the Chemical OIZ, Ceyhan Petrochemical Industrial Zone, Ceyhan OIZ, SASA private industrial zone, Adana Yumurtalık Free Zone, and others. In addition, there are important investments in other areas of Adana such as Agriculture-Based Specialized Greenhouse OIZ, Aquaculture OIZ, AOSB 4th Stage Expansion Area, Textile City, Shoemakers Site, Confectioners Site, Furniture Manufacturers Site, Sarıçam and Yüreğir Small Industrial Sites, Food Wholesalers, Printers, Recyclers, Marble Manufacturers, and Scrap Dealers. When we consider the completed Çukurova Regional Airport and the new Adana Main Container Port to be built, Adana will become a new economic powerhouse in the Turkish century.’
