IGA Istanbul Airport ranked first in the list of ‘Top 10 International Airports in the World’ determined by the scores given by readers of the international travel and lifestyle magazine Travel and Leisure, surpassing all its competitors. New York-based leading travel magazine Travel and Leisure’s annual survey ‘Top 10 International Airports in the World’, in which readers participating in the survey gave a score of 95.79 to IGA Istanbul Airport, resulted in it being selected as the ‘Best Airport in the World’. Airports were evaluated in terms of accessibility, check-in, security, dining areas, shopping, and design. The award ceremony of Travel and Leisure magazine, reaching approximately more than 16 million readers every month, took place in New York City, USA. The award of IGA Istanbul Airport was presented to Deputy General Manager Responsible for Operations, Mehmet Buyukkaytan. ‘We are very proud to have brought another award to our country.’ Deputy General Manager Responsible for Operations Mehmet Buyukkaytan shared his feelings and thoughts after receiving the award. Buyukkaytan stated, ‘We believe that traveling is a unique story and that each trip should offer a flawless experience tailored to different needs and expectations.
