Rector of Erciyes University (ERU), Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, made a statement regarding the announcement of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) results. Addressing the students who will make their preferences, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun invited the students to ERU. The results of the YKS, which took place on June 8-9, 2024, were announced. Following the announcement of the results, ERU Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun wished success to the candidate students who will make their preferences. In his statement, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun stated that ERU is one of Turkey’s leading research universities with 19 faculties, 1 vocational school, and 48,000 students engaged in effective activities and studies ranging from health to engineering, social sciences to agriculture, architecture to fine arts. Drawing attention to the fact that ERU has a livable green campus, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun mentioned that in the international GreenMetric evaluation, ERU ranks 3rd in Turkey and 85th globally. Emphasizing their support for students to always be involved in research processes, Rector Prof. Dr. Altun noted: ‘With our well-equipped laboratory facilities at our university, we involve our students in research and development processes in all areas. Especially the fact that our Technopark is always among the top five technoparks in our country is the most important indicator of this. Our students have every opportunity to improve themselves not only with theoretical knowledge but also in terms of practical applications at our university.’ Rector Prof. Dr. Altun announced that ERU will also provide guidance services to students who will make preferences after the announcement of the YKS results, advising candidate students to examine ERU and closely evaluate the departments they are interested in before making their choices. Rector Prof. Dr. Altun also added that Kayseri is a student-friendly city, saying, ‘As a city, Kayseri has a very nice location. The fact that Kayseri is right in the center of Anatolia, especially the accessibility of its surrounding tourist areas, highlights Kayseri as a student city.’
