Resul Yardımcı, who started dyeing his beard after a dialogue with his daughter in Hatay, is known for his colorful beard that changes color according to his daily mood. Sometimes dyeing his beard green, blue, and purple, Yardımcı stands out with his appearance.

Operating as a tradesman in the Payas district, 47-year-old Resul Yardımcı is known by everyone in his district for his colorful beard. Starting to dye his beard because he doesn’t have hair due to a dialogue with his daughter, Yardımcı colors his beard according to his daily mood and the colors his children love. Not concerned about what others might say, Yardımcı draws attention with his free spirit and character.

“I don’t have hair, so we play with our beards”

Known for his colorful beard, tradesman Resul Yardımcı mentioned that changing colors is not easy and said, “I have a 15-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son. For some reason, we live other people’s lives in Turkey and the Middle East, we act according to others’ desires. Even when we buy a car, we choose the color of the car based on the second owner’s taste. I have never been a person like that in my life, I have never thought about what others might say, I have tried to live as I wish. My family allowed this. I always used to tell my daughter to take care of her hair, dye her hair. My daughter said to me, ‘Do I tell you to dye your hair?’ and I told her that I am bald. Then my daughter said to me, ‘Then dye your beard.’ I said I would dye it, and first I dyed it purple, green is my son’s favorite color, so I dyed it green. My daughter likes fuchsia, I dyed it fuchsia, I like blue, so I dyed it blue, and that’s how it goes. Green and fuchsia change according to my daughter’s and son’s mood. When I say I will dye it according to my own wishes, I change it, we do whatever we feel like. Changing colors is not easy, you apply a lightener, women know, men don’t, but I generally do it myself and I like it. I don’t have hair, so we play with our beards,” he said.

“We choose the colors together when dyeing the beard”

Resul Yardımcı’s 13-year-old son Mustafa Yardımcı said, “I think my dad’s beard is his own choice. My dad doesn’t interfere in our private lives, I also don’t interfere in his private life, so he can do what he wants. He usually asks for my opinion, and I also give my opinion. We choose the colors together when dyeing his beard.”
