Support from the metropolitan municipality to farmers… Distributed by Mayor Bozbey himself
Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey went to Keles district and participated in the distribution of straw and small livestock to farmers by Tarım A.Ş. With the support to be provided to farmers and villagers, now young people will return from the city to the villages, not from the villages to the city.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey visited the Keles district and participated in the distribution of straw and small livestock to farmers by Tarım A.Ş. Expressing that with the support to be provided to farmers and villagers, young people will now return from the city to the villages instead of the other way around, Mayor Bozbey stated, ‘We will implement new projects. We will also provide diesel support to our farmers. We will support those who bring smart projects.’ Bozbey immediately fulfilled the request of an elderly female producer who asked for his support.
Setting a precedent in Turkey by moving his office to the districts, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Bozbey made the citizens happy with the good news he delivered. Mayor Bozbey stated that they will revitalize agriculture, animal husbandry, rural tourism, and cultural activities in mountainous districts, and said that with the support to be provided, they will ensure the reverse migration from the city to the village. Bozbey met with the citizens next to the trucks of Tarım Peyzaş A.Ş., which came to Keles for straw and animal support. Listening to the requests and complaints of the citizens, Mayor Bozbey ensured the immediate fulfillment of the request of an elderly woman who asked for his support.
In his conversation with the citizens, Mayor Bozbey stated that they will increase animal husbandry, ‘As BESAŞ, we purchase milk for our dairy facility here. We will raise the prices to increase the income of our villagers. We process and sell the highest quality products from milk to yogurt, cheese, and kasar in many of our BESAŞ buffets. We will also introduce different products. We produce the healthiest products for our citizens by processing the milk or other materials we receive from our citizens. We want our villagers not to give up animal husbandry regarding milk, but to increase animal husbandry instead. Therefore, we will provide all the support we can. If we increase the incomes of the youth here, we can prevent migration to the cities. That’s why we are striving for it.’
Mayor Bozbey announced the support they have provided and will provide. Bozbey said, ‘We provide support for both straw and small livestock to our farmers and citizens who make a living from animal husbandry. We have already done some of these before. But from now on, we plan to deliver these in a more organized manner to all our villages and fellow citizens who want to engage in animal husbandry, by increasing these family businesses and both increasing their incomes and desiring them to lead a secure life where they are. The mountainous region is a very important place. Here, tourism, animal husbandry, especially agriculture, are carried out. Today, the cherries of this region are exported to Europe. They are sold in private stands in many places. But we need to promote it more.’
‘Now, young people will move to the villages’
Mayor Bozbey stated that they will establish a cooperative in the near future and provide the necessary support professionally, ‘We will give more than our best. In this way, young people will settle here from the city instead of the other way around. They will increase their incomes here and at the same time lead a healthy and peaceful life. Besides that, of course, we plan to increase social and cultural opportunities. Our region is not only livable but also an important place in terms of breathing clean air and leading a healthy life, and we will definitely achieve and provide this.’ The citizens, pleased with the statement made by the Mayor, expressed their hopes by saying, ‘We trust you very much. May God be pleased with you a thousand times.’
