President Onal hosted the Mayor of Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Harmanci

The Mayor of Bayraklı, İrfan Önal, hosted the Mayor of Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality, Mehmet Harmancı, in his office. Harmancı and his delegation, who came to Bayraklı to see an example of the Mathematics and Intelligence Games park to be implemented by Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality, conducted inspections at the 100th Year Mathematics and Intelligence Games Park. Possible collaborations between Bayraklı and Lefkoşa were discussed. The Mayor of Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality, Mehmet Harmancı, and his delegation visited the Mayor of Bayraklı, İrfan Önal. Mayor Önal expressed their openness to any kind of collaboration between the two sister cities. Stating that they aim to bring the ‘Bayraklı Municipality 100th Year Mathematics and Intelligence Games Park’ model located in Mansuroğlu Neighborhood to Lefkoşa, Mayor Harmancı later inspected the park with the delegation and Mayor Önal, receiving information from the officials about its operation.
After the visit, Mayor Önal, Mayor Harmancı, and the delegation visited the monument erected in memory of those who lost their lives in the Izmir earthquake on October 30, 2020. Carnations were placed on the monument in memory of the citizens who lost their lives in the great disaster.
“We are ready for collaboration.” Mayor İrfan Önal of Bayraklı expressed his pleasure in hosting Mayor Mehmet Harmancı of Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality, stating, “We will collaborate on projects that Bayraklı and Lefkoşa will mutually undertake. We are ready for any collaboration that will be beneficial for both cities.”
