Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly National Defense Commission and AK Party Member of Parliament for Kayseri, Hulusi Akar, stated that ‘An attempt to sow discord through Syrians was made in Kayseri.’ Speaking at the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day event organized by Erciyes University on 15 July Martyrs Street, Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly National Defense Commission and AK Party Member of Parliament for Kayseri Hulusi Akar mentioned that the fight against terrorism continues in a way that will uproot it completely. He emphasized that the fight against terrorism is not a personal matter and sometimes some individuals perceive it as a personal success, which is a mistake. He highlighted that the Turkish Republic is one, our state is one, and therefore, our state continues its fight in a coordinated and controlled manner in compliance with the law, in a stable manner, aiming to completely eradicate the roots of terrorism and its organizations. Akar underlined the successful military operations such as Operation Euphrates Shield, Operation Olive Branch, Operation Peace Spring, and Operation Spring Shield, along with Operation Claw series in northern Iraq, to ensure the security of our borders and to eliminate terrorist threats. He also praised the dedication and heroism of the personnel in closing the personnel gap. He continued by stating that ‘An attempt to sow discord through Syrians was made in Kayseri,’ mentioning that discord will not end in imperialist powers. Akar highlighted the attempts to disrupt the peace in Kayseri through Syrians and expressed gratitude for the intervention of the security forces under the leadership of the governor and the solidarity of the people of Kayseri. He emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity against such incidents and stressed the need for cooperation between citizens and law enforcement to maintain stability and security. Akar pointed out that such incidents are organized, with external influences manipulating individuals with criminal records to disrupt unity and peace. He emphasized that it is the duty of every citizen to contribute to maintaining peace and stability, not only the responsibility of governors, district governors, and law enforcement. He concluded by stating that ‘This country is ours, this history is ours, this flag is ours,’ and emphasized the necessity of being strong to protect these values.
