Village Tournaments have started with great enthusiasm.

Village Tournaments organized by Şehitkamil Municipality started with great excitement and enthusiasm after the kick-off by the Mayor of Şehitkamil, Umut Yılmaz. Yılmaz stated, ‘We will continue to organize such events to increase the interest of our villages in sports activities and to provide them with this excitement. I wish all our teams success.’

The matches of the first day of the tournament were played at Beykent Stadium and M. Hayri Özkeçeci Sports Complex. Hundreds of fans supported their teams with great enthusiasm and excitement during the matches. The excitement and colorful scenes in the stands led to unforgettable moments.

‘May all our teams be successful’
Şehitkamil Mayor Umut Yılmaz met with the teams before the matches and wished them success. Yılmaz emphasized their aim to strengthen the passion for sports in villages and highlighted that such events strengthen social ties. Mayor Umut Yılmaz stated, ‘These tournaments will not only demonstrate the unifying power of sports but also strengthen the friendship and brotherhood among our villages. Fierce competition took place
In the opening match, Bilek faced Dımışkılı at Beykent Stadium at 17:00. On the same day and at the same time, Göksüncük competed against Battal at M. Hayri Özkeçeci Sports Complex. Immediately after these two matches, at 18:20, Dündarlı played against Aşağı Arıl at Beykent Stadium, while Bayatlı faced Bağbaşı at M. Hayri Özkeçeci Sports Complex. At 19:40, Bedirkent played against Erikli at Beykent Stadium, and Cerit Yeniyapan faced Aktoprak at M. Hayri Özkeçeci Sports Complex. The last matches of the first day were played at 21:00, where Yalangoz played against Beylerbeyi at Beykent Stadium, and Kızık Hamurkesen played against Uğruca at M. Hayri Özkeçeci Sports Complex.

The excitement will continue
On the second day of the tournament, on Sunday, July 14, 2024, thrilling matches will once again be watched. The first matches of the day will be between Atabek and Tekirsin at Beykent Stadium and Köksalan and Akçaburç at M. Hayri Özkeçeci Sports Complex at 17:00. At 18:20, Sofalıcı will play against Dülük at Beykent Stadium, while Karacaburç will face Serintepe, and Çaykuyu will compete against Karasakal at M. Hayri Özkeçeci Sports Complex at 19:40. The last matches of the second day will be played at 21:00, with Akçagöze playing against Öğümsöğüt at Beykent Stadium, and Yayıktaş facing İncesu at M. Hayri Özkeçeci Sports Complex.
